If your child enjoys the challenge of balancing objects, try building together the tallest creature you can using one ‘feet’ piece, one ‘head’ piece and as many of the ‘body’ pieces as you can!
Play this simple game to help your child learn to take turns. Keep all the ‘feet’ out and lay them out in front of you both. Pop all the other pieces in a bag (or under a cushion). Take turns to pick one without peeking. If it fits correctly onto the right animal (e.g. a body onto the right feet, or a head onto the right body) put it in place. If not, it goes back into the bag. The hen, bush and wheat are ‘special’ prizes and can be kept out when they appear!
Sing Old MacDonald Has A Farm as your child plays with the pieces. Challenge him to point to the right animal as you sing each verse.
