How are my toys delivered?

How long after I subscribe will my first Toybox be delivered?
We currently deliver our Toyboxes during one week in every four, so your first delivery could be up to three weeks after you subscribe. We will confirm the date of your first delivery by email when you subscribe.
What do you charge for delivery?
Delivery on all our MerryGoRound Toyboxes is free. If you buy a toy, we may charge for delivery if you require the toy separately from your regular delivery. We will always let you know what delivery charges apply and how long your delivery should take.
Do I need to stay in all day for the delivery?
Most of our Toyboxes are delivered in the evenings and at weekends as our customers tell us this is the most useful time for them. When you subscribe, you will be told your day of delivery and we will always remind you when a delivery and collection is due. Please let us know if you think we can improve our delivery service: we’re always trying to make it better.
How do I get my toys?
Your toys arrive every four weeks in a brown, recycled cardboard box. The box is delivered by car by one of our team. If you are in, we will ask you to sign to confirm that you have received your Toybox from us.
What if I am out when the toys are delivered?
We prefer you to be in for your delivery, which is why we offer evening and weekend deliveries as standard. However, when you subscribe, we will ask whether there is somewhere we can leave your Toybox if you are out. We do ask that it is somewhere relatively secure (eg back garden, shed, garage). If there is nowhere suitable, we do ask that you are in for your delivery. If we cannot deliver your toys, we will email you and let you know why. We may be able to deliver them at an alternative time if our delivery route allows. If we need to reschedule delivery in addition to our normal routes, we will charge an admin fee of £5. Alternatively, you can keep the toys you currently have on hire for an additional month and we can collect and deliver on our next scheduled day.
What if there’s nowhere for you to leave my Toybox?
We nearly always find somewhere to leave it. Some common places are inside an upturned recycling box, under a hedge or in a garage (please leave it open!). If you’re not sure where to suggest, just give us a call and we can work it out with you. 
What if I go on holiday?
If you are planning to go on holiday, you are welcome to take your current hired toys with you, providing you will continue to treat them with care (e.g. not damaging them due to inappropriate use in sea or sand). If you will be away when we are due to deliver, you can keep the same toys for an additional four weeks at 25% off your normal Toybox fee; we let you do this once in every 12 month period.

Alternatively, you can suspend your subscription for a month. We will collect your toys on your collection date, but not drop off your new MerryGoRound Toybox. Four weeks later, we’ll deliver your new Toybox and your subscription will continue as before. We charge a nominal fee of £2 for this suspended month to keep your account active and cover the delivery and collection costs which we still incur.

To keep your current Toybox or to suspend your Toybox Plan for four weeks, give us a call or drop us an email at least 48 hours before your next delivery.
Why can’t I pick my delivery day and time?
We deliver to certain areas on certain days – it’s better for the environment as we can minimise our driving (imagine if we had to deliver to your neighbour one day, then you the next). You don’t have to be in – just tell us somewhere safe to leave your Toybox. We can even take a key to a shed, garage or communal entrance hall. Give us a call and we can discuss the best option for you. 
Why are you only offering the service to some postcodes?
We are a small company and don’t cover the whole of the UK – yet! If we don’t yet cover your area, please email us and we will let you know when we reach you (and give you a special offer when we arrive to thank you for your patience). Even if we don’t cover your area for our regular four-weekly box service, you will soon be able to order some of our one-off products: check back regularly for more details!
What if my Toybox is not there when I get home?
If your Toybox goes missing or you are at all worried that someone may have taken it, please call us immediately. We’re sorry, but we can only accept reports of missing Toyboxes within 24 hours of the scheduled delivery date. We may ask you for some details to help us avoid it happening again. Once we have carried out some quick checks, we can usually replace boxes within 72 hours to prevent you missing out. We may also ask you to think of somewhere more secure for us to leave the box, or – in some circumstances – may only deliver your Toybox when you are in.
Do you remind me my delivery and collection is due?
Yes: 48 hours before your collection, we send you an email reminder. If you sign up to our free text alert service, we will also send you two SMS texts - one 24 hours before collection/delivery, and another around an hour before we arrive. We won’t use your mobile phone number for any other purpose, except if we need to contact you, for example, about your account. If you would like to subscribe, please email us with your name and mobile phone number on . Soon you’ll be able to sign up when you subscribe.
