As mother to a growing toddler, I was frustrated by the clutter created by all her toys, many of which she was bored of within weeks. I couldn’t afford to keep buying new good-quality toys, but I felt uncomfortable with cheap plastic toys that often broke quickly and were destined to end up in landfill.
MerryGoRound Toys was my solution: an online toy hire service, offering inspiring toys, many with eco-ethical credentials, all delivered to and collected from your door each month. No more clutter; no more toys that are played with for days before being abandoned and consigned to the loft; more variety than you’d ever get from buying toys (unless you have money to burn!). All in all, a better way to play.
Our mission is to improve the quality of families’ playtime in order for playing together to be a happier and more satisfying experience. We do this by offering the opportunity to play with a wide variety of high-quality toys cost-effectively and in a way that impacts the environment as little as possible. We believe that play is an essential part of a baby’s life and development and that beautiful, high-quality toys have an important role in playing and learning.
We also believe that we all have a responsibility to treat other people and the environment with care and that this is an important lesson for our children to learn.
